Change in Leadership: Rugby Club President 2019

Outgoing President, Andrew Robbo Robertson (2016-2018)

“After 2 years in this post Andrew “Robbo” Robertson is making way for our next President. Robbo has been with Centaurs since 2005 and has to all intents and purposes made the Mini-fields his second home. Many Old and current Centaurians have experienced his passion for the game and development of young players through his famous ‘warm-up’ sessions and his co-ordination of all coaching activities across the U5s to U8s. Of more recent years he has been contributing to the coaching of our oldest U17s age group which remains a dominant force. I am glad to say that Robbo is not leaving us so we will from time to time have the benefit of his rugby passion at Centaurs Park – “caaaarrrnnn the footie, caaarrrnnn the Robbo!”.

– Tim Lambert, CEO Centaurs Group

“Centaurs has been such a constant part of my life over the past 14 years…..watching Issy, my daughter start her footy career moving from rugby to touch….playing for Warhorses… the voice of the Minis! The warm-ups started by accident and became part of my Saturday routine as well as being able to be involved in coaching and watching so many kids (and parent coaches!) over the years develop their skills and joy of rugby. It has been an absolute blast.

The Club has seen so many stalwart families who have given their time over so many years and this is what makes this place so special. The feel of always coming back to family continues to draw my daughter (among so many others) to come down on Saturday mornings when they’re passing through from wherever they are currently living or studying. The Club has and continues to epitomise grassroots rugby….the enjoyment of playing and chucking a footy about and having a laugh and yarn after a game or training. Long may it continue.

Good luck to Bryan and Charlie and the Club could not be in safer hands to guide it through the next phase. Both live for Centaurs and have been such a huge part of this Club over so many years.

CAAAAARRRRRN CENTAURS, caaaarrrrrn the passing of the hat…..”

– Robbo

Incoming President, Bryan Coole (2019)

“I am delighted, excited and extremely honoured to announce that Bryan Coole has accepted my invitation to become Centaurs Rugby’s next President. The role will see him be the face of Centaurs at most major events as well as sit on the committee of the JRCS. He and Charlie Lambert will work closely on all club matters, ensuring the club ethos and success is maintained well into the future. Bryan has been with Centaurs since eldest son Fynn joined us in 2007; he helped me coach those U5s for a while and has since go on to coach with great success across various age groups as his 3 sons have progressed through the ‘ranks’.”

– Tim Lambert, CEO Centaurs Group

“As President, I’ll be striving to keep Centaurs as the premier rugby club for families in search of a high quality, positive rugby experience for their children. Keeping the focus on every player and their development. Building character through the rugby experience. Since I first pulled on a Centaurs Coach shirt over ten years ago, I’ve been bleeding Yellow and Blue ever since. It’s great being a Centaur, and I love this club!”

– Bryan Coole
