Another massive term for our Centaurs netballers to wind up three successful years since our inception. Term 3 is the competition term for junior netball in Singapore and Centaurs had a whopping 14 teams competing in the SGNA Cup, the Sport Ready junior league and the ANZA Accelerator series. The Centaurs girls played in over 140 competitive games this term alone – a huge effort from all players, parents and coaches.
A special mention to the U11 Orioles who powered through the season undefeated to take the gold in the SR junior league and the U12 Bluebirds who took the bronze. Our U15 Firebirds and U10 Sunbirds also came very close to a medal, making it into the bronze medal final in their leagues. Regardless of results, Centaurs showed up and participated with all the commitment, determination and sportsmanship we value here at Centaurs.
We wound up the year with a fantastic presentation day and took the chance to farewell a few of our players who are leaving Singapore. We finished year three with exactly 180 registered players – an amazing statistic given we started in January 2017 with 26 players.
Our calendar for next year is quickly filling up with lots of exciting opportunities for all players. We are also excited about some new coaches we have coming on board.
Have a great break everyone and we can’t wait to see you all on Saturday 18 January 2020.
