Term 1 in review: Netball

On a rainy day in January 2017, Centaurs Netball Club was launched. We had a shiny new court with no lines, 22 very excited girls, the sharpest looking uniforms in town and two coaches ready to teach. Ten weeks later and the end of term 1, we now have a court with lines and over 40 (and growing) very excited girls. Our uniforms are still the sharpest in town and our coaches are always ready to go.

The girls have worked extremely hard during the term on fitness, footwork and fundamentals. The improvement of all girls in a short time has been remarkable.

Towards the end of term, we loved having some visiting ANZA teams come to Centaurs for a mini tournament. It was a carnival atmosphere at Centaurs headquarters and the Centaurs girls were the perfect hosts. We look forward to more of this as we move into Term 2.

Well done to all the Centaurs netballers who joined us for the inaugural term. They set a very high standard of commitment and dedication to netball and the club and have blazed a trail for the U9s who join us in Term 2.

Coaches Karla and Jolynn
